About the Role

A growing business within the waste and resource recovery sector is looking for experienced HGV Mechanics to join its workshop team in Bromborough.

The role involves inspecting, maintaining and repairing HGV vehicles to a high standard, helping to keep the fleet safe, compliant and operational.

Important to Know

• Full-time permanent position

• Monday to Friday, 7:00am to 4:00pm

• Previous HGV workshop experience required

• Own tools required

• Full UK driving licence required

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out 6-weekly inspections, MOT preparations and repairs

• Complete planned, preventative and reactive maintenance

• Diagnose faults and complete effective repairs

• Maintain accurate maintenance records and paperwork

• Report vehicle faults and defects to the Workshop Foreman or Supervisor

• Maintain a clean, safe and tidy workshop

• Work effectively independently and as part of a team

• Support high standards of safety, compliance and vehicle reliability

What We're Looking For

• Previous HGV workshop experience

• Strong understanding of vehicle inspection, maintenance and repair

• Full UK driving licence

• Own tools

• Strong attention to detail

• Practical and safety-focused approach

• Ability to work independently and within a team

Desirable Experience

• Category B or CE driving licence
