Renewable Energy Labourer

Salary: £25,000 - £35,000 per year
Location: Edinburgh and Glasgow region
Hours: 40 hours per week
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Van: Company van provided

About the Role

We are looking for a Labourer to join a team working across the Edinburgh and Glasgow region on renewable energy projects.

The role involves travelling to domestic and commercial sites alongside a qualified Electrician and supporting installations involving solar PV, battery storage and heat pumps.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who is reliable, adaptable and interested in developing a career within the renewable energy sector.

You will share a company van with the Electrician and travel to sites together each day.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support Electricians with domestic and commercial installations

  • Assist with solar PV, battery storage and heat pump projects

  • Prepare materials, tools and equipment for site work

  • Assist with moving and handling materials and equipment

  • Support general installation and site activities

  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment

  • Travel to different sites across the Edinburgh and Glasgow region

  • Work effectively alongside Electricians and other members of the installation team

  • Follow site health and safety procedures

  • Be adaptable to different projects and working environments

Requirements

  • Previous labouring, construction or installation experience is desirable

  • Experience working on construction or engineering sites would be beneficial

  • Must be practical, reliable and willing to learn

  • Comfortable working outdoors and travelling to different sites

  • Able to work effectively as part of a team

  • An interest in renewable energy and developing technical skills

  • Full UK driving licence preferred

  • Must have a valid CSCS card
