Data/ MI Analyst – Burton-on-Trent Based

Data/ MI Analyst required for a leading organisation based in Burton-on-Trent. This role is responsible for effectively generating and analysing management information to guide operational delivery and to inform business/managerial decision making.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience generating, analysing, and presenting information in reports which covered key HR activities, whilst highlighting any trends identified in reports and flagging relevant information to the HR Management Team.

Key Responsibilities of the Role

  • Analyse and interpret statistics to provide a summary and overview of findings which can be easily understood by people without an MI background.
  • Ensure personal targets/objectives are achieved and make a positive contribution to the HR function achieving it OGSM objectives and targets.
  • Produce monthly HR Metrics for use at Board Meetings, Workforce Governance, and other monthly meetings.
  • Create complex queries to provide statistics for the HR Management Team. Arrange data in spreadsheets and use advanced excel skills to perform calculations.
  • Analyse and interpret statistics to provide a summary and overview of findings which can be easily understood by people without an MI background.
  • Highlight any trends identified in reports and flag to HR Management Team for investigation.
  • Utilise internal HR systems and Microsoft office products (Excel, SQL) to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of reporting.

Key Skills of the Role

  • Ideally hold an undergraduate degree within a maths, statistics, or numerically focussed subject.
  • Proven track record experience working as an MI analyst within a previous role.
  • Experience in creating and utilising complex databases and spreadsheets using platforms such as Excel, SQL etc.
  • Previous experience collaborating with a medium-sized team, whilst exceeding set-out targets and expectations within a team-focused environment.

 

Salary

The salary for this permanent position is £35-40k per annum. The organisation has an excellent benefits package available for the ideal candidate.
