IT Support Engineer - 1st/2nd Line/AV – Worcester (PR/CR/013824) Warwickshire, England

Salary: GBP28000 - GBP29001 per annum + Excellent Benefits

IT Support Engineer required for a well-known organisation based near Worcester. As an IT Support Engineer, you be responsible for providing 1st and 2nd Line IT Support and Audio-Visual Support to a range of internal end users, and working as the onsite contact to part of a larger technical team of specialists.

The ideal candidate will have experience providing an efficient and effective support service covering hardware, software, and other IT equipment, as well as assisting with the central service desk core functions when required.

Key Responsibilities of the role include:

  • To distribute software, patches, and scripted configuration changes to EUC operating systems, such as Windows, Chromium, Android, IOS and Mac OS using system management tools.
  • To install, move, test, reconfigure, repair and service EUC equipment as required.
  • To accurately add and update the asset inventory and log support call information on the relevant systems.
  • To ensure allocated support calls are resolved in a timely and professional manner to departmental SLA’s.
  • Create and document OS and application builds for mass deployment.
  • To dispatch, receipt and test equipment sent out of the organisation for modification or repair, and to maintain detailed records of these actions.

 

Key Skills required:

  • Experience in the installation and maintenance of various operating systems and applications in a corporate environment.
  • Understanding of the principles of EUC deployment and the remote management of equipment/software.
  • A solid understanding of AD, Windows files permissions, Group Policies, Windows Registry, WSUS and Antivirus management and system management / software deployment tools.
  • A basic understanding of Audio-Visual equipment support.
  • Apple hardware and software support experience is highly desirable.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with end-users at all levels, and demonstrate a systematic, disciplined, and analytical approach to problem solving.

 

Salary:

Our client is offering a salary of £28,000 - £29,000 per annum plus excellent benefits.
