Intermediate-Senior Vertical Transportation Engineer (Lifts)

Sydney | Flexible hybrid | $120k- $160k + super

You’ll join a small, specialist VT team inside a global engineering group.

Three senior engineers.

Over 100 years of combined experience between them.

Projects across Australia, London, New Zealand, APAC and Europe.

The team runs as its own global specialist group, separate from the local office structure.

It’s flat and small by design.

No office politics. You get on with the work.

Whoever wins a project, the whole team gets behind it.

What you’ll work on

• A live fee proposal for the Sydney Opera House
• Tier 1 projects across Australia and overseas
• Olympic venue work on the Sunshine Coast, including a new arena
• A six-tower precinct with a new casino
• Major tower projects in Sydney and on the Gold Coast
• Support on projects for the London, Auckland and Wellington teams

The role

• Lift and escalator design, typically taken through to 80%
• Traffic analysis using Elevate
• Peer reviews, construction reviews and submission reviews
• Full ownership of your projects from start to finish
• Dedicated VT drafting support, so you’re not drawing your own packages
• Some admin and building documentation, but you won’t be buried in it
• Introductions to existing clients, with room to grow into BD over time

About you

• 3 to 7 years in vertical transportation
• Consultancy background preferred. Lift contractor experience also considered.
• Degree in mechatronics, mechanical or electrical engineering
• Experience with Elevate or similar traffic analysis software
• Comfortable running your own work
• Keen to build client relationships over time
