As a 1st Year Electrical Apprentice you will be responsible for providing professional services for valued customers of Schneider Electric. Equipment you will be working on will include; Data Centres, Uninterruptable Power Sources, Cooling Systems, Surge Protection and Power Conditioning Systems.

You will be rotated every 6 months between sections in Schneider Electric – Power services, VSD, Critical power, Digital Services, Project Management, Small works and more. Schneider drives digital transformation by integrating world-leading process and energy technologies, end-point to cloud connecting products, controls, software and services, across the entire lifecycle, enabling integrated company management, for homes, buildings, data centers, infrastructure and industries.

You will be travelling to customer locations across your state and your key duties will include

  • Perform start-up/ commissioning, preventative maintenance, and corrective/ unscheduled maintenance on all Schneider equipment.
  • Managing unit replacement
  • Training customers on equipment operation and maintenance
  • Comply with safety policies, practices and procedures at all times.

Requirements

Ideally you will have the following;

  • Have completed Year 12 and have completed a Certificate II in Electrotechnology.
  • Strong mathematical skills
  • Fantastic communication skills
  • Excellent work ethic
  • Physically fit
  • Ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Have a valid White Card and have completed a First Aid Qualification
  • Must be double vaccinated
