Job Title: Production Operative

Location: WF17, Batley

Salary: £13.73 per hour (starter rate)

About the Role

We are currently looking for reliable and hardworking Production Operatives to join a busy manufacturing unit in Batley.

This is a hands-on production role within a modern, highly automated environment, where you’ll work alongside machinery to help manufacture and produce products efficiently and to a high standard.

You’ll be part of a team, monitoring the production process, carrying out routine checks and ensuring everything is running smoothly and safely.

Working Hours – Rotating Shift Pattern

• Week 1: 5:50am – 2:00pm
• Week 2: 1:50pm – 9:30pm

After 12 weeks, employees will move onto an annualised hours contract, which includes a requirement to work 7 Saturdays per year.

Key Responsibilities

• Working alongside automated production machinery
• Monitoring the production process and output
• Carrying out routine quality checks
• Operating equipment safely and efficiently
• Completing repetitive production tasks when required
• Identifying and reporting any issues with the production process
• Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
• Following all health and safety procedures
• Working effectively as part of a busy production team

Requirements

• Previous production or manufacturing experience is beneficial but not essential
• Comfortable working around machinery and automated processes
• Ability to work rotating shifts
• Comfortable with repetitive tasks
• Good attention to detail
• Reliable, punctual and willing to learn
• Strong work ethic and a positive attitude
