About the Role

As the SAP BDC Architect, you'll own the end-to-end architectural vision for migrating SAP BW environments into a modern Databricks lakehouse platform on AWS.

You'll define target-state architecture, establish governance standards, create scalable data models, and provide technical leadership across multiple workstreams. Acting as the bridge between business, SAP, and cloud engineering teams, you'll ensure solutions are scalable, governed, and aligned to broader enterprise strategy.

Duties

• Define and govern the target-state lakehouse architecture on BDC, AWS and Databricks
• Lead SAP BW migration strategy and architecture design
• Design data ingestion frameworks leveraging SAP and cloud technologies
• Establish enterprise data models and governance standards
• Drive Data Mesh principles, data product ownership, and domain architecture
• Define data quality, lineage, metadata, and governance frameworks
• Partner with business stakeholders, functional architects, and engineering leaders

Skills & Experience

• Extensive experience in SAP BW / BW4HANA architecture
• Strong knowledge of SAP ABAP and SAP Business Data Cloud (BDC)
• Proven experience designing enterprise solutions on Databricks
• Deep understanding of Lakehouse and Medallion Architecture principles
• Experience with AWS data services including S3, Glue, and related technologies
• Knowledge of SAP integration patterns including SLT, ODP, and SAPI
• Strong stakeholder engagement and architecture leadership experience
• Background in enterprise data modelling, governance, and solution architecture
