As the business continues to grow, they are seeking a motivated and detail-driven Commercial Administrator / Trainee QS to join their Commercial Team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to build a career, with a clear development path to become a Quantity Surveyor.

The Role

As a Commercial Administrator, you will support the commercial and quantity surveying team with key administrative tasks. You’ll play a vital role in ensuring the smooth running of project documentation, cost reporting, and subcontractor management.

 

Key Responsibilities:

·      Assist in preparing and managing project documentation, contracts, and purchase orders

·      Support the commercial team with cost tracking, valuations, and payment applications

·      Maintain accurate records of invoices, variations, and project correspondence

·      Liaise with site teams, suppliers, and subcontractors

·      Provide general administrative support to the commercial department

·      Assist with data entry and report generation for monthly commercial reviews

 

Essential Skills & Attributes:

·      Previous experience in construction administration or quantity surveying  

·      Strong organisational and administrative skills

·      Knowledge of commercial processes or contract administration

·      Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

·      Confident communicator, both written and verbal

·      Proficient in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel and Word)

·      Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn

·      Interest in progressing towards a Quantity Surveying role
