Overview
As a Senior Dayforce WFM Consultant, you play a critical role in delivering complex Workforce Management (WFM) solutions using Ceridian Dayforce. You will lead end-to-end implementations, optimisations, and transformation initiatives, helping clients maximise the value of their Dayforce investment.
You act as a trusted advisor to clients, providing expert guidance across workforce management processes including time & attendance, scheduling, award interpretation, and compliance. You will work closely with stakeholders to design scalable, efficient solutions aligned to best practice and legislative requirements.
As a senior member of the team, you will also mentor consultants, contribute to capability uplift, and drive a culture of continuous improvement and delivery excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Dayforce WFM Implementation & Transformation
- Lead end-to-end Dayforce WFM implementations, including discovery, design, configuration, testing, and deployment.
- Deliver system optimisation and transformation initiatives focused on Time & Attendance, Scheduling, and Workforce Planning.
- Configure Dayforce WFM modules including pay rules, work assignments, schedules, and award interpretation.
- Support system migrations, upgrades, and integration activities within the Dayforce ecosystem.
Advisory & Stakeholder Engagement
- Act as a subject matter expert in Dayforce WFM, providing strategic and operational guidance to clients.
- Build strong, trusted relationships with key stakeholders across HR, Payroll, and Operations teams.
- Translate complex business requirements into scalable Dayforce solutions.
- Facilitate workshops, design sessions, and training programs for client teams.
Problem Solving & Solution Delivery
- Troubleshoot complex WFM and system-related issues, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
- Identify root causes of system or process inefficiencies and implement sustainable solutions.
- Proactively identify risks and develop mitigation strategies across project and operational environments.
Compliance & Best Practice
- Ensure Dayforce configurations align with Australian workforce legislation, awards, and enterprise agreements.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of legislative changes impacting WFM and payroll outcomes.
- Advise clients on compliance obligations and system-driven controls within Dayforce.
Process Improvement & Optimisation
- Identify opportunities to streamline workforce processes and increase automation within Dayforce.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system performance and user experience.
- Recommend enhancements and best practice approaches to maximise system utilisation.
Leadership & Mentorship
- Mentor and support junior consultants, fostering technical and functional development.
- Contribute to internal capability building, knowledge sharing, and solution standardisation.
- Provide leadership across project teams, ensuring high-quality delivery and client outcomes.
Work Ethic & Delivery Excellence
- Take full ownership of deliverables and client outcomes, operating with a high level of autonomy.
- Manage multiple projects and priorities effectively in a fast-paced consulting environment.
- Maintain a strong focus on quality, detail, and client satisfaction.
Key Skills & Experience
- Proven experience delivering Dayforce WFM implementations and/or optimisation projects.
- Strong expertise in Time & Attendance, Scheduling, and award interpretation within Dayforce.
- Deep understanding of Australian workforce legislation and compliance requirements.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capability.
- Experience mentoring or leading consultants in a project environment.
