Job Title: Catering Team Member

Location: Chesterfield, S44 5BL

Salary: £12.71 ph

Contract:  Temporary on going role

Hours:  26.5 hours per week – 4 days (to include weekends)

GI Group is looking for a Catering Team Member to join our client’s established and welcoming catering team.

You will help provide a warm, friendly catering service by preparing, serving and presenting food and drinks with care, ensuring every customer enjoys a great experience while maintaining high standards of cleanliness, safety and hygiene at all times.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet customers at the counter in a warm, friendly and professional manner.
• Serve food and drinks promptly, accurately and efficiently.
• Operate the till and process cash and card payments responsibly.
• Keep counters, tables and equipment clean, tidy and well-presented throughout your shift.
• Replenish food, drinks and other items to ensure the counter is always ready for service.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to a positive, supportive team environment.
• Assist with basic cooking and food preparation, following instructions and recipes.

Person Specification:

• Good understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
• Previous experience in a similar catering or customer service role.
• Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
• Able to work effectively as part of a team and also use your own initiative.
• Flexible and adaptable to meet the needs of the service.
