Job Title: Supply Chain Planner
Location: Peterborough, PE8 6RA
Salary: £16 - £18 per hour
Contract: Hybrid (3 days per week on site) – Temporary 6 months
We are seeking a numerically strong and highly organised Supply Chain Planning Analyst to support our Clients daily supply chain operations across planning and materials.
Under general supervision, you will help create and maintain the Master Production Schedule and material plans required to meet production requirements and/or independent customer demand.
You’ll work with key stakeholders to ensure planning signals are aligned across the supply chain, using KPIs and planning tools to identify risks, drive improvements, and meet internal and external customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the creation and maintenance of the Master Production Schedule and associated material plans.
- Execute the daily operational planning process within your functional area (materials, production, inventory, logistics, demand management, or order fulfilment).
- Use planning tools, standard processes, and information systems to drive consistent planning signals across the supply chain.
- Monitor, analyse, and interpret Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to identify trends, issues, and improvement opportunities.
- Identify potential supply chain risks/failures and implement mitigation actions to reduce disruption.
- Work closely with internal and external stakeholders (e.g., suppliers, procurement, production, logistics) to deliver short-term tactical improvements.
- Participate in functional process improvement activities and continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Experience & Skills
- ERP or MRP systems experience (essential).
- Supplier Management experience (essential).
- At least one year’s internship or equivalent work experience in a Supply Chain role (essential).
- Strong Excel skills (essential) with confidence handling and interpreting data.
- Strong numerical capability and attention to detail.
- Clear and confident communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with different audiences.
