Hours: Monday–Thursday 8:15–4:45 | Friday 8:15–12:15
Are you an experienced engineering or blue-collar professional with a passion for developing people? Do you thrive in hands-on manufacturing environments and want to play a key role in building a skilled workforce for the next 20 years? If so, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
We are partnering with a leading defence manufacturer looking for a Training Partner to take the lead on workforce development within their production teams. This is a highly visible role where you’ll ensure induction, onboarding, and continuous development for a skilled workforce of around 150–200 people.
What you’ll do:
- Lead and facilitate training programs, including blended learning, for existing and new staff.
- Ensure all learning complies with strict quality and safety standards required for defence manufacturing.
- Work closely with the Senior Team Leader and other training partners to maintain consistent training practices across multiple manufacturing cells.
- Manage training records and demonstrate compliance through the Skill Station system (with administrative support available).
- Roll up your sleeves and get hands-on where needed, this isn’t a desk-only role!
What we’re looking for:
- Solid training experience, in a production/manufacturing environment.
- Experience facilitating training or coaching in a hands-on setting.
- Ability to navigate strict quality and safety regulations.
- Strong organisational skills to manage training records and schedules.
- A collaborative, stable, and adaptable approach – you’ll be joining a well-established team of training partners.
- Ideally you will have Level 4 (HNC) or higher level qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical training
Benefits of the role
- A busy, forward-looking environment with exciting long-term growth in production.
- Opportunity to make a real impact on workforce development and skills progression.
- Supportive team culture with experienced colleagues who genuinely get along.
- Flexible working hours with early Friday finish (12:15 pm!).
- Excellent pension
- Competitive benefits and potential career progression towards HR or Centre of Excellence roles.
If you have the technical credibility, hands-on experience, and passion for developing others, this is your chance to make a real difference in a highly respected defence manufacturing business.
