A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for a Electrical Design Engineer to join a UK known manufacturer in the Birmingham Area! 

With no day ever being the same the Electrical Design Engineer role offers genuine long-term progression and career development within a first-class organisation.

Role & Responsibilities:

• Create detailed electrical schematics and wiring diagrams using SolidWorks Electrical or E-Plan, along with Bills of Materials.
• Develop supporting documentation such as performance calculations, test plans, and material/component justifications.
• Ensure all designs meet customer specifications and comply with safety and legislative standards.
• Collaborate with mechanical engineers to deliver fully integrated product solutions.
• Follow structured design processes to ensure timely risk mitigation and design approvals.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

• MUST BE ELIGIBLE FOR SC CLEARANCE
• Degree qualified or experience within a relevant industry
• Power and Electrical Design knowledge – Low Voltage power distribution experience – highly desirable.
• Experience working with Variable speed drives, control panels , motor panels, PLC systems
• Knowledge and experience working with Control and Instrumentation would be highly desirable
• E-Plan & Solidworks Electrical knowledge and experience
