MAIN OBJECTIVES OF THE ROLE:

The SGM is a member of the casino operations department, responsible for helping the casino to meet its Safer Gambling (SG) obligations in accordance with the Metropolitan Gaming Safer Gambling Policy & Procedures and the Gambling Commission LCCP and supporting guidance.

The SGM has a ‘dotted reporting line’ to the Group Safer Gambling Manager to ensure a level of expert subject matter support and independent oversight. Also, to facilitate fast and efficient communication  between Head Office Compliance and Casino front line operations. The SGM is part of the Metropolitan Gaming’s First line of Defence (the Second Line of Defence being HO Compliance and the Third being Internal Audit)

The SGM must be able to interact positively and appropriately with customers and be able to   composure with customers in a variety of situations, some challenging.

Compliance with all relevant legislation is a crucial requirement of the role. The SGM must understand all Safer Gaming and Anti Money laundering requirements.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Holds a valid Personal Management License 
  • Must have sufficient knowledge and experience of the land-based casino
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience of working with customers in a land-based casino.
  • Computer literate with a good working knowledge of
  • Can demonstrate experience in KYC work within the Casino sector with a good understanding of both Safer Gambling and Anti Money Laundering.
  • Must be organised with good planning and time management/prioritisation
  • Ability to work independently and to liaise with other
  • Must possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal and able to build strong and credible relationships.
  • Must be professional and articulate (in English), acting as an ambassador for Metropolitan Gaming both internally and
  • Must be confident and credible, especially when dealing with
  • Must have a high level of confidentiality and act in a discreet manner at all times regarding information in their possession.
  • Must have a positive, can do attitude and approach to work, continually displaying and reinforcing the company’s four key behaviours relating to service standards and being personable and professional regarding interaction with all stakeholders and points of contact.
