We are currently seeking an enthusiastic individual to come and join our fantastic kitchen team as a junior sous chef.

MAIN FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:

To support and assist the the Sous/Head Chef in the management and organisation of the kitchen.

MAIN DUTIES:

  • In the absence of the Sous/Head Chef, to supervise kitchen operation so as to ensure that outgoing food is of a consistently high standard.
  • To assist with ensuring that the requirements of Food & Hygiene and Health & Safety legislation are complied with.
  • To prepare and produce food to the highest standard and specifications given by Senior Kitchen staff.
  • Assist the Sous/Head Chef in the compilation and costing of menus.
  • Assist with training staff to the required standard.
  • Assist the Sous/Head Chef to ensure that Company accounting and control procedures are adhered to.
  • Liaise closely with the Food and Beverage Manager and the FoH team.
