SENIOR COMMERCIAL FINANCE ANALYST SOUGHT BY GROWING LUXURY BRAND - UNIQUE OPPORTUNITY TO INFLUENCE THE DIRECTION OF THIS ICONIC BRAND
My Client is an established British luxury retailer who now looking for an Senior Commercial Finance Analyst to help make this company the most efficient and market responsive in the market.
YOU - must be a self starter - this role will have a large element of working from home - especially initially.
You should have retail experience , ideally used to dealing with shop figures and KPIs from multiple outlets in multiple countries.
You should also understand the retail supply chain and the impact disruptions can have on profitability and trading.
This is a small Finance team of 4/5 people , so you will have an obvious and important impact.
Degree educated , with ideally at least a part qualification in CIMA/ACCA/ACA
Experience with Jet Reporting is a must.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES ARE;
Firstly - Development and review of regular reporting for the business, alongside financial analytics and business partnering to support commercial growth of the business.
Main duties and responsibilities:
Regular Reporting
• Production and ongoing development of the daily and weekly sales reports – net and gross sales, local currency and GBP consolidations
• Develop and improve ongoing measurement of the business via KPIs and comparable means
• Provide variance analysis and commentary on variances to budget/ target
• Monitor and address any inaccuracies or missing information between various data sources
• Development and calculation of sales associate commission and incentives schemes
Period End
• Calculation of sales related accruals
• Reconciliation of sales between POS and accounting system
• Review of costs and variances to budget
Budgeting/ Forecasting
• Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and half year reforecast
• Responsibility for phasing of targets set
• Business partner with department heads to develop cost budgets
Pricing
• Ownership of price loads to the system
Analytics & Appraisal
• Analyse impact of selling incentives and promotions on sales and margin
• Partner with the logistics and Ecommerce teams to analyse the impact of returns
• Ad hoc analysis as requested
