Title: Senior Structural Civil Engineer
Contract Duration – 1 year (Renewable) – Long term project of atleast 10 years.
Start Date - ASAP
Work Location – Al Ula, Saudi Arabia (office based with site visits) – No remote work possibility

Job Responsibilities:

• Familiarizes with all Royal Commission codes and standards, General Design Criteria and Technical Guidelines, standard drawings and standard guide specifications.
• Review of A/E contractors design submittals, specifications, technical reports, calculations and coordinate work of other disciplines and departments.
• Preparation of technical specifications and drawings for bid packages related to the development of various community and industrial projects.
• Will implement methods and solutions for complex engineering problems and will select the most efficient and economical manner to meet our clients’ design objectives.
• Leads other Engineers and design personnel in technical excellence and growth in the Quality Improvement Process.
• Provides technical consultations for interdisciplinary analytical studies and analyses.
• Assists in the review of vendor drawings and shop drawings.
• Prepare conceptual design and layouts.
• Performs field inspection and provide field support, as necessary during construction phases.
• Provide response and technical solutions to RFI’s raised by Contractors, Operation and Maintenance.
• Must work well within a dynamic team and serve as a technical consultant to the client.

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university with major course work in civil/structural engineering or a related field of study. Emphasis in structures design preferred.
• Minimal 10-15 years of engineering experience with at least 7 years in designing structures such as bridges, reinforced concrete box culverts, small buildings for pump houses and treatment plants, etc. This would be more of an infrastructure type structural than a commercial design structural engineer.
• Conduct the design of the proposed structures in the primary and secondary networks, familiar with foundation loads for pilings, bridges, elevated concrete walkways, concrete roads/airfields is preferred.
• Familiarity with various software design tools such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, STAAD Pro, SAFE, RISA, Navisworks, Autodesk Revit, SAP2000, Sketchup, etc. is preferred.
• Familiarity with utilities with respect to right of way, crossings, and permitting is preferred.
• Coordinate with all relevant stakeholders and government authorities plus developers, consultants and contractors working within the area under study or adjacent areas.
• Professional Engineer (PE/PEng/Chartered Engineer) registration is preferred.
• Experience working in Saudi Arabia is preferred.
• Must demonstrate continual progression of experience and expertise in relevant discipline.
• Ability to communicate effectively both spoken and in written English. Knowledge of Arabic language is a plus, but not required.
• Knowledge of computers and basic software applications: MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point).
