Research and Data Analyst

Research and Data Analyst (30069-en_GB) London, England

Lloyd's Register Foundation is an independent global charity that helps to protect life and property at sea, on land, and in the air. We are seeking a Senior research and data analyst to join a growing team supporting the implementation of our new evidence-informed, challenge-led, strategy.

The Foundation is considering a wide range of issues where we want to make a difference:

· How can we understand and improve the mental health of those working at sea for long periods?

· Where in the world could better training and skills improve safety?

· How can we ensure that failures of major infrastructure are a thing of the past?

These are just some of the challenging questions that the Foundation is currently considering – come and join us and help to find answers that will have a real impact on the safety of people’s lives.

This new role will be key in promoting evidence-based decision making within safety. Undertaking evidence reviews and data analysis, you will help us to understand the existing evidence base, and generate new insights to support our work.

The successful candidate will have prior experience in delivering systematic reviews of research evidence, and in data extraction and analysis using standard statistics packages including Excel. You will be able to demonstrable your ability to interpret, present and communicate review findings and complex data in an accessible and tailored way, including producing data-rich reports for a range of technical and generalist audiences.

You will have a strong intellectual curiosity, along with excellent problem-solving and quantitative skills, as well as being well organised, able to manage multiple tasks and meet demanding deadlines whilst having meticulous attention to detail. You will also have effective communication and well-developed networking skills with the ability to work in partnership with people at all levels.
