Support Worker - Complex Learning Disabilities

Location: Burnham-on-Sea

Pay Rates:

• £13.75 per hour (Day Shifts)
• £14.25 per hour (Waking Nights)

We are recruiting compassionate, resilient and dedicated Support Workers to join a specialist service supporting adults with complex learning disabilities.

This is a rewarding opportunity to support individuals to live as independently as possible whilst receiving the care and encouragement they need to thrive. The role includes providing personal care, supporting individuals who may display behaviours that challenge, promoting independence, and delivering person-centred support tailored to individual needs.

There will be occasional lone working, so candidates must be confident working independently and making sound decisions while maintaining high standards of care and support.

Experience supporting individuals with diabetes is highly desirable, although full training and support will be provided.

Shift Patterns:

• 09:00 - 15:15
• 15:00 - 22:15
• 22:00 - 09:15 (Waking Nights)

We're looking for people who have:

• Previous experience in care, support work, or a similar setting
• Experience supporting adults with learning disabilities
• Confidence providing personal care
• Experience managing behaviours that challenge
• A calm, patient and positive approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• The ability to work independently during lone-working shifts
