Lead Developer (BBBH5409) Western Suburbs Melbourne, Australia
This is a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Developer or Tech Lead to step up into a duel role consisting of people management and hands on technical expertise. You would be joining a well known and highly regarded large Australian company who are currently modernising their technology solutions. They require a hands-on leader who works with the development teams to deliver enterprise grade IT systems and solutions. This role would cover the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Application support driving a DevSecOps culture.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Develop business systems and contribute to the technology roadmap for the future
- Hands on development with Python and AWS
- Take responsibility for delivering new client portal system and 3/4 new products that are currently in development
- Manage a team of 6 people consisting of developers and testers
- Take ownership of the DevOps practice and continue to improve
Required Skills:
- Strong commercial experience with Python and JavaScript
- Having exposure to cloud technologies (AWS preference) would be highly regarded
- Extensive experience building and supporting Linux based platforms
- Strong communication skills and the ability to lead an Agile team
- Experience working in an Agile and DevOps environment
