One of our top Clients in the O&G Industry is looking for a CONSTRUCTION MANAGER with the following details:

Location: Tripoli; LIBYA

Start date: ASAP / URGENT

Contract Duration: 12 months (renewable)

 The Construction Manager is in charge of:

(Managing the preparation, technical definition, organization and implementation of the construction, testing and pre-commissioning activities, including all required specifications, plans, programs, method statements

and coordinating the required documents from other project groups (ITPs, QCPs, JSAs, JRAs, PTW, etc);

(Providing overall direction in the planning, organising, management and control of construction activities and ensuring the site management procedures for the project are developed;

(Participating to the development and implementation of the H3SE culture among the Project, and promoting all Safety programs at Site, especially by “leading by example”;

(Identifying and supporting cost-schedule-quality-functionality optimization initiatives and constructability/risk assessment inputs for project;

(Maintaining open relationships with, and early involvement of, Commissioning group and Operations personnel to ensure smooth and timely handover of facilities to Operations, as per project specifications;

(Defining the appropriate organization and identifying and managing the Construction group;

(Leading the team in the analysis, design and implementation of approved changes and Variations to ensure all revisions are to the requirements of the construction capabilities and satisfies end users needs;

(Supporting the planning team and Contractors in scheduling, organizing and reporting construction and site activities in order to meet project schedule, identify slippages and implement required solutions;

(Analizing the performance of the preparation and execution of construction activities and identify possible optimizations and their related implementation, as per Project requirements and objectives;

(Supporting the Project Manager in organization, management and control of Construction activities, especially: Construction and Site Management during Post-FEED Stage 2 (PF-2) and EPC Tendering

• Provide Construction and Site Management inputs in the preparation of technical deliverables
• Secure the preparation of the required construction documents for the Call For Tender,
• Prepare the construction requirements for the Tenders preparation and the specimen Contract,
• Manage the construction inputs in Clarifications and Tenders evaluations,

Qualifications / Experience required:

Engineering Degree with 15 years’ experience in major oil&gas onshore projects, with at least 10 years’ experience in multi-discipline Construction management and Site management positions for a major Operator and one experience as Construction Manager in a 1B$+ project. Experience in challenging areas (remote, security, logistics) and in joint-venture is required.

Language: Fluent English (working language), Arabic would be a plus.

Location: based in Tripoli, with ability to relocate to any required Project locations (Contractors’ offices and Site).

• Competency in multi-disciplinary construction management with in-depth understanding of the project objectives in order to make the relevant technical arbitration,
• Autonomous and able to arbitrate between activities and teams, in line with the project management vision,
• Methodic, organized and pro-active, with ability to assist Project Manager in long-term project management,
• Ability to work in multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural teams,
• Proven track record of result deliveries in challenging project environments.
