Employment Lawyer - Full/Part time – Exeter
Our esteemed client is looking to strengthen their well regarded Litigation team with the addition of an experienced Employment Lawyer based in their Exeter office. This role is full time, though part time applications will be considered for the right candidate.
The ideal lawyer will bring around 3–5 years’ post qualification experience and the confidence to manage their own caseload independently. You’ll handle a broad range of contentious and non contentious employment matters for both employers and employees, including:
- Unfair dismissal, wrongful dismissal and constructive dismissal claims
- Discrimination, harassment and whistleblowing matters
- Redundancy processes and restructuring advice
- Disciplinary and grievance procedures
- Settlement agreements and exit negotiations
- Employment contracts, service agreements and staff handbooks
- TUPE advice and support
- Policy drafting and general HR advisory work
A proactive approach to business development is essential, as the early stages of the role will focus heavily on generating new work, building relationships and developing fresh sources of instructions. Travel to other offices for client meetings and marketing events will form part of the role.
Whilst the core focus is employment law, applications from those with greater PQE are welcomed, particularly if you are open to developing skills in other areas of litigation or bring a strong track record in business development or an existing client following.
You’ll be joining a dynamic and supportive environment with a clear growth trajectory. The firm has expanded rapidly in recent years, with new offices, partner promotions and award winning leadership contributing to a genuine feel good culture.
This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of a developing practice area, work alongside a collaborative team and enjoy strong career prospects and a competitive benefits package.
