Associate Supervising Solicitor - Contract Disputes – Bristol

The firm is continuing to expand its Litigation offering and is now seeking an Associate Supervisor to join the busy Contract Disputes team within the wider Volume Litigation Department. This is an exciting time of growth and positive change, offering the opportunity to step into a key leadership role within a supportive and ambitious environment.

As an Associate Supervisor, you will oversee the technical work of a small team while also managing your own caseload of consumer and commercial contract disputes. You’ll work across Small Claims, Fast Track and Intermediate Track matters, assessing prospects of success, negotiating settlements, and litigating through the Civil Courts where required. You’ll play a central role in maintaining high standards of case handling, supporting junior colleagues, and ensuring clients receive exceptional service.

The Role

  • Supervising and mentoring a team of fee earners within the Contract Disputes unit
  • Managing a caseload of consumer and commercial contract disputes
  • Assessing prospects of success and advising clients at an early stage
  • Negotiating and litigating claims through the Civil Courts, including taking matters to trial
  • Ensuring cases are progressed efficiently and in line with regulatory and client requirements


About You

  • Qualified Solicitor (or equivalent) with strong experience in Contract Law and Civil Procedure
  • Background in handling Fast Track or Intermediate Track litigation
  • Previous supervisory, mentoring or people management experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong customer focused approach with the ability to explain complex issues clearly and empathetically
  • A proactive mindset with the ability to identify risks and offer practical solutions
