Senior Residential Development Lawyer – Bristol

An opportunity has arisen to join a major national law firm with a strong presence across the UK and a highly regarded Legal 500-ranked Real Estate practice. The firm is recognised for advising leading housebuilders, developers, landowners and investors on complex residential development projects.

This role offers high-quality work, exposure to nationally significant developments and a clear route for career progression within a collaborative and forward-thinking team.

You will play a key role in a successful Residential Development team, advising on a broad range of development matters from site acquisition through to project completion.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Acting for national and regional housebuilders, developers and landowners.
  • Advising on strategic land acquisitions and disposals.
  • Negotiating development agreements, option agreements and promotion agreements.
  • Supporting large-scale residential and mixed-use development projects.
  • Supporting business development initiatives and helping grow the team's market presence.


Candidate Requirements

  • Qualified Solicitor with strong experience in residential development, commercial property or strategic land work.
  • Demonstrable experience acting for developers, housebuilders or landowners.
  • Strong technical ability combined with commercial awareness.
  • Excellent relationship-building and client management skills.
  • Ability to manage matters with a high degree of autonomy.
  • Team-focused approach with an interest in mentoring and supporting junior lawyers.
  • An enthusiasm for networking and business development.
