Clean Energy Senior Associate / Managing Associate (5–7 PQE) – Bristol

A top 100 national law firm is expanding its Clean Energy practice and is looking for an experienced lawyer to join its busy, high profile national team. This is a great opportunity to work at the forefront of the clean energy sector alongside leading specialists across the UK.

The Role
Advise on a wide range of clean energy matters including:

  • PPAs, battery optimisation and tolling contracts
  • Biogas offtake arrangements
  • Clean energy project development, acquisitions and disposals
  • CfDs, Capacity Market, REGOs and other low carbon support regimes
  • Energy supply arrangements
  • Ofgem licensing and regulatory issues
  • Grid connection, IDNOs and private wire arrangements
  • Heat networks and heat supply/offtake contracts


Candidate Requirements

  • 5–7 years’ PQE with strong commercial, projects or regulatory experience in the clean energy sector.
  • Applications also welcome from transactional lawyers with focused clean energy experience.
  • Familiarity with technologies such as solar, wind, hydro, battery storage, energy from waste, biogas, hydrogen, EV charging or district heating is an advantage.
  • Confident managing complex matters and working collaboratively across teams.
  • Commercially minded, proactive and keen to contribute to a growing national practice.
