Property Litigation Associate – Exeter

A great opportunity to join a modern, ambitious regional law firm with a strong reputation across the South West. You'll be part of a growing Property Litigation team handling a broad mix of contentious property work for private clients, corporates, retailers, landowners and developers.

This opportunity would ideally suit a solicitor with 1–4 years' PQE, although exceptional NQ Solicitors will also be considered, particularly those who have completed a Property Litigation seat during their training contract and can demonstrate additional relevant property litigation experience.

You'll be:

  • Managing your own varied caseload across all areas of property litigation
  • Advising on development land disputes (including telecoms), property contracts and landlord and tenant issues
  • Working closely with clients from day one, with strong supervision to build confidence and independence
  • Contributing to the team's growth and wider business development activities


Candidate Requirements

  • Ideally 1–4 years' PQE gained within a Property Litigation team
  • Outstanding NQ candidates with a Property Litigation training seat and relevant pre-qualification experience will also be considered
  • Solid experience across contentious property matters
  • Strong understanding of development land disputes, telecoms issues and landlord/tenant work, including dilapidations, break notices, forfeiture and breach of covenant
  • Confident communicator with a client-focused approach
  • Strong technical skills combined with a commercial and pragmatic mindset
