Private Client Solicitor – Torquay

Based in Torquay this growing Private Client team offers high quality work across Wills, Probate, LPAs, Trusts and Inheritance Tax matters. They’re now seeking a lawyer with strong technical ability and a genuine commitment to supporting clients through some of life’s most important decisions.

You’ll enjoy the autonomy to develop your practice while being part of a friendly, collaborative team known for delivering exceptional client care. The work is varied and engaging, covering Wills, Estate Administration, Probate, Lasting Powers of Attorney, Trusts, Inheritance Tax Planning and Trust Administration. Alongside your caseload, you’ll play a key role in supervising and mentoring junior colleagues, contributing to business development and helping shape the continued growth of the department.

Ideal Candidate

• Strong experience across a broad range of private client matters, including complex work handled with minimal supervision.
• Compassionate, approachable and committed to delivering outstanding client service.
• Confident supporting and developing junior team members, embedding best practice and consistency.
• 5+ years’ PQE in private client work, ideally with STEP membership or working towards it.
• Commercially aware, proactive and keen to contribute to the wider success of the team.
• Genuine interest in developing a specialist technical focus within private client law.
