Court of Protection Solicitor – Bristol (HSJ921956811) Bristol, England

Court of Protection Solicitor – Bristol

A well-regarded multi office practice with a strong presence in Somerset and Bristol is looking for a Court of Protection solicitor with around 5 years’ PQE to take the lead in building out a new specialist service. With a growing number of complex cases and no dedicated expert in place, this is a rare opportunity to step into a leadership role and shape a practice area from the ground up.

You’ll be managing your own caseload of welfare and financial disputes, advising on capacity, deputyship, and best interests matters, and working closely with colleagues across the firm. As the team grows, you’ll also have the chance to mentor junior lawyers and help define internal processes and best practices.

The ideal candidate will bring solid experience in Court of Protection or related areas such as mental capacity, healthcare, or private client work. You’ll need strong drafting and advocacy skills, a confident, independent approach, and a genuine interest in supporting vulnerable clients. Just as important is your ability to think strategically and contribute to the long-term development of the team.

The firm offers a flexible working model, a supportive culture, and a clear route to progression. Whether you’re looking for full-time, part-time, or something in between, this is a standout opportunity to take ownership of your career and make a real impact.
