A top 100 national law firm has a fantastic opportunity for a Solicitor (NQ–4 PQE) to join their specialist Military Claims team in Cardiff. The Role
You’ll join a busy, well established claimant litigation team handling a varied caseload of military related personal injury matters. The work is sensitive, complex and genuinely impactful.
Your caseload will include:
- Military injury claims, including clinical negligence and industrial disease
- Carcinogenic exposure cases linked to military service
- Drafting pleadings, witness statements and reviewing medical evidence
- Preparing schedules of loss and instructing relevant experts
- Advising clients on complex and often sensitive issues
- Liaising with Counsel and attending conferences
- Managing claims from initial enquiry through to settlement
- Supporting wider PI and clinical negligence teams where needed
- Supervising junior fee earners (depending on experience)
Candidate Requirements
The team is looking for someone who brings both technical ability and the right personal qualities. You will ideally have:
- NQ–4 PQE with experience in personal injury, clinical negligence or related litigation
- Confidence managing your own caseload and working to deadlines
- Excellent client care skills and the ability to handle sensitive matters with empathy
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- A proactive, ambitious and self motivated approach
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively
