We’re working with a Top 100 UK law firm with a strong presence across the South West known for its collaborative culture and high-quality client work.

An opportunity has arisen for an Employment Solicitor (1–3 PQE) to join their well-established and growing team in Bristol.

This is a broad and hands-on role offering exposure to a wide range of contentious and non-contentious employment matters, working with both employer and employee clients. You’ll be trusted with early responsibility while receiving support from experienced colleagues on more complex matters.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Managing your own caseload (with supervision), delivering high-quality and commercially focused advice
  • Advising on a full spectrum of employment law issues including dismissals, discrimination, TUPE and redundancy
  • Drafting and reviewing contracts, policies, procedures and settlement agreements
  • Running Employment Tribunal matters from instruction through to hearing
  • Supporting senior lawyers on complex or high-value disputes
  • Building strong client relationships and acting as a key point of contact
  • Contributing to business development


You will ideally have:

  • 1–3 years’ PQE with experience in employment law
  • Confidence managing your own matters with appropriate supervision
  • Strong technical knowledge across contentious and non-contentious employment work
  • Excellent client relationship and communication skills
  • A proactive, organised approach with the ability to prioritise competing demands
  • An interest in business development and growing your professional network
