Are you an enthusiastic and supportive Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding role in Plymouth? We are currently recruiting a dedicated professional to join a vibrant, welcoming primary school team. This position offers consistent daytime hours, allowing for a professional work-life balance while making a meaningful impact on student development.

Responsibilities

• Classroom Support: Assist the class teacher in delivering dynamic primary curriculum lessons.
• Targeted Intervention: Work 1-on-1 or with small groups to boost literacy, numeracy, and student confidence.
• Inclusive Learning: Provide tailored assistance to children with diverse learning needs and Special Educational Needs (SEN).
• Environment & Wellbeing: Foster a positive, safe, and motivating environment for young learners.

Qualifications

• Experience working with primary school children in education, nursery, youth work, or care settings.
• A patient, adaptable, and proactive approach to learning.
• Good standard of literacy and numeracy (Grade C/4 GCSE English and Maths or equivalent).
• An Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or readiness to apply for one).
• Right to work in the UK.

What We Offer

• Competitive daily rate of £92.56 – £95, based on experience.
• Standard school hours: 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday (Term Time Only).
