Short description

Design, shape, and modernise enterprise identity architecture across a growing Sydney organisation. Lead IAM strategy, build scalable access models, and create secure identity frameworks that underpin cloud, digital, and operational technology transformation.

This role puts you at the centre of one of the most important areas in modern cyber security — identity. You’ll move beyond operational IAM into strategic architecture, owning the blueprint for how access, governance, and privileged identity are managed across the organisation.

You’ll work on large-scale transformation programs, influence executive decision-making, and build enterprise identity capabilities that become a cornerstone of the company’s security posture. The visibility, autonomy, and technical scope of this role make it a major career-defining opportunity.

About the role

This position reports directly to the Head of Cyber Security and works closely with enterprise architecture, infrastructure, cloud engineering, risk, HR, and digital transformation leaders. You’ll define IAM architecture standards, guide platform selection, and ensure identity controls are embedded into both new initiatives and existing environments.

The end goal of this role is to deliver a modern, scalable, and business-friendly identity ecosystem that reduces risk, improves compliance, and enables secure growth.

Duties

• Define enterprise IAM architecture and future-state roadmaps
• Design access governance, PAM, and Zero Trust identity models
• Guide platform selection, integration, and technical standards
• Advise senior leaders on identity strategy, risk, and architecture decisions

Skills / experience

• Strong background in Identity & Access Management architecture
• Experience with SailPoint, Okta, CyberArk, Microsoft Entra ID, or Ping Identity
• Deep understanding of RBAC, ABAC, PAM, CIAM, and Zero Trust principles
• Experience designing identity solutions across cloud and enterprise platforms
• Strong stakeholder engagement and strategic thinking capability
