About the Role
A leading global bank is seeking a skilled Legal Counsel European and German financial services regulatory experience. You will support regulatory advice across a broad range of frameworks. There will be a mix of transactional, trading and regulatory matters.
Key Responsibilities

Support drafting, negotiation, and execution of transactional and client documentation.

Provide guidance on EU and UK regulatory frameworks, including EMIR and MiFID II
- Broader experience across hedging and financing structures, cross-border issues, and market structure developments is useful but not vital.

Partner with trading, sales, compliance, and other key stakeholders globally.

Assess legal and reputational risks and support new product development.
About You

Qualified lawyer (England & Wales or another European jurisdiction).

Fluent German and English (written and spoken).

Minimum 3 years’ PQE in financial regulation, specifically with EMIR, MiFID II.

Experience with regulatory and transactional work in a financial institution or top law firm.

Strong communication skills and the ability to explain complex issues clearly.

Proactive, organised, and effective at managing competing priorities.
