Goods Out Operative – Barnsley

Location: Barnsley
Pay Rate: £12.71 per hour
Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 17:00
We are currently seeking a Goods Out Operative to join one of our clients who have a busy and growing team in Barnsley. This is a fantastic opportunity for a driven and organised individual with experience in dispatch and warehouse operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Managing the goods out area efficiently and accurately
• Preparing and dispatching orders in line with customer requirements
• Booking shipments and inputting data onto courier portals
• Using warehouse management systems (WMS) and general PC systems
• Operating counterbalance (CB) forklifts with a focus on safety and accuracy
• Ensuring all dispatch documentation is completed correctly
• Maintaining a clean and organised work area

Requirements:

• Valid Counterbalance (CB) forklift licence
• Proven experience using gas-powered forklift trucks
• Strong experience working within a goods out / dispatch environment
• Confident using a PC for data entry and dispatch systems
• Good attention to detail and ability to work to deadlines
• A proactive and reliable attitude
