Do you have experience working as a Business Development Manager – motivating sales teams and qualifying new clients and projects? If the answer is yes, this is the perfect role for you!

 

I am currently seeking an experienced Business Development Manager on behalf of a close client of mine. As a Business Development Manager, you will seek to qualify new projects related to the construction industry, and lead a team of sales people to identify new project opportunities through driven commercial strategy and marketplace awareness.

 

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of business development staff, ensuring they maintain a motivated outlook to commercial strategies and early project coordination.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with key stakeholders – including contractors and architects.
  • Oversee commercial pipeline and ensure the team is kept up to date with potential leads.
  • Strive to qualify leads that align with the commercial pipeline of the business.
  • Utilise a CRM system to track project pipelines, stakeholder engagement, and to assign tasks to other team members using this system.
  • Deliver monthly KPI reports and forecast potential project opportunities.
  • Collaborate cross-departmentally to support strategic decision making in relation to business development and early project coordination.

 

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

  • Experience liaising directly with Architects, Contractors, and end users.
  • Experience working within the construction or building services sector.
  • Proficiency in using CRM systems.
  • Experience liaising with senior stakeholders and an ability to be comfortable doing so.
