We are currently partnering with a large, well-established organisation to recruit an experienced Senior Payroll Officer on a permanent basis. About the Role:
- Process end-to-end payroll in accordance with company policies and relevant payroll legislation.
- Maintain accurate employee payroll records, including new starters, terminations, leave balances, and payroll amendments.
- Ensure salaries, superannuation, and statutory obligations are processed accurately and on time.
- Interpret relevant awards, enterprise agreements, and payroll legislation to ensure compliance.
- Support payroll reconciliations, reporting activities, and audit requirements.
- Provide professional and timely assistance with payroll-related enquiries from employees.
Skills and Experience:
- Previous experience in a full-function end-to-end payroll position is essential.
- Hands-on experience using a large payroll and time & attendance system is required.
- Strong understanding of award interpretation and payroll compliance.
- Sound knowledge of Australian payroll legislation and payroll best practices.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build strong stakeholder relationships.
- Ability to manage competing priorities, work autonomously, and meet strict deadlines.
