Salary: $85,000 to $90,000 plus super

They are currently looking for an experienced Payroll Officer to join their team.

  

About the Role:

  •  Manage end-to-end payroll processing, ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time in line with relevant Awards, Enterprise Agreements, and legislative requirements.
  • Maintain payroll records and process payroll transactions, including new starters, terminations, leave, allowances, overtime, and payroll adjustments.
  • Respond to payroll enquiries from employees and managers, providing accurate advice and exceptional customer service.
  • Perform payroll reconciliations, reporting, and compliance activities while identifying opportunities to improve payroll processes and efficiency.
  • Work closely with HR, Finance, and operational teams to ensure payroll data is accurate and up to date across multiple sites.
  • Support a fast-paced transport and logistics operation where accuracy, attention to detail, and meeting payroll deadlines are essential.

 

Skills and Experience

  • Proven ability to process end-to-end payroll accurately and within strict deadlines.
  • Proficiency using large ERP payroll systems, with MicrOpay experience highly regarded.
  • Familiarity with ConnX Time & Attendance is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build strong relationships across the business.
  • Strong understanding of interpreting complex Awards, Enterprise Agreements (EBAs), and relevant payroll legislation.
  • Sound knowledge of payroll calculations, including back pays, terminations, redundancies, and other complex payroll transactions.
