Duties

Reporting to the Workforce Systems and Analytics Manager, this is a varied, hands-on role which will see you utilise your experience across a highly sought-after area within payroll reporting and analytics. Duties include:

  • Identifying process improvement strategies with current systems and processes, particularly across governance frameworks
  • Assisting with building of newly identified framework for all new payroll governance & compliance controls
  • Data analytics & reporting
  • Providing insights from data analysis to support decision making and drive process optimisation.
  • Processing compliance documentation and analysing historical data, across various systems
  • Undertaking payroll audits to ensure compliance against Awards & EBA's
  • Assist with general payroll processing


Skills and Experience

  • Demonstrated experience informing and implementing effective practices in payroll service delivery
  • Substantial experience and proficiency in delivering a compliant, effective, and responsive payroll service in a medium-sized organisation
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Working knowledge of Chris21 is desirable.
  • Proficiency with Business Intelligence reporting software (such as PowerBI)
  • Experience with Victorian Public Service (VPS) Agreement and Common Policies is required
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal to build relationships effectively
