Are you passionate about ensuring accuracy, compliance, and integrity in payroll operations? We are seeking an experienced Senior Compliance Officer to join a well-established healthcare establishment undergoing some exciting organisational change. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a strong understanding of payroll legislation, audit processes, and internal controls.

About the Role:

• Work to understand operational processes and strategic objectives and the role of technology in improving the way we work
• Maintain & control the integrity of payroll data in relation to compliance changes, payroll legislation, internal policy, and contracts of employment
• Establish and maintain a controls and governance framework to across the payroll function to reduce risk of errors and critical data updates and changes
• Subject Matter Expert and the ability to Interpret complex award condition
• Using payroll knowledge and policies, apply quality checking of payroll output data before it is distributed to internal managers
• Developing and performing standard reporting queries in SAP, SQL or in Excel to identify inconsistencies in Masterfile data
• Complex reporting and analysis of payroll data as required, supporting the automation of payroll data analysis across the team

Skills and Experience

• Strong knowledge of end to end payroll processes and associated legislative requirements
• Previous experience in payroll compliance or a senior payroll role with compliance responsibilities
• Strong knowledge of Australian payroll legislation, awards, and EBAs
• Experience with SAP SuccessFactors or UKG (Kronos) experience highly desired
• Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and problem-solving ability
• High level of confidentiality and professionalism
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally
