Electrical Integration Engineer

Electrical Integration Engineer (BBBH12593) United Arab Emirates

I am seeking an Electrical Integration Engineer to join my Part 145 aviation client in the Middle East. This is a fixed term contract for approx. 2.5 years.

Main responsibilities:

  • Act as the design engineer for the allocated technical work packages identified by the Operations Manager.
  • Be responsible for the generation, modification and integration of system architectures to produce engineering documents including but not limited to; Wiring Schematics, Wiring Diagrams, Cable Harness drawings and reports in accordance with the departmental change management process.
  • Generate electrical integration designs in accordance with both internally and externally generated Interface Control Documents
  • Assist the other engineering business unit’s customer design reviews and site / craft visits as and when required by the programme team.



FRACAS/PIAC Analysis

  • Maintain a register for Incidents/Accidents, Aircraft On Ground (AOG), Maintenance Downtime- Scheduled and Unscheduled and Delays.
  • Maintain a Problem Identification and Correction (PIAC) database on the Departure or Launch Delays, Incidents/Accidents, Deferred Defects/Partial Mission Capable (PMC) and AOG/Non-Mission Capable (NMC). Evaluate the information to provide a quantitative and objective appraisal to indicate substandard areas requiring corrective actions.
  • Administrate, Coordinate and act as Secretary for the PIAC Review Board.
  • Identify primary causes of high downtime or excessive support for correction. Corrective actions including recommending additional spares to stock or changes in the Maintenance Schedule Program / Line Maintenance Checklist to increase aircraft reliability in coordination with Engineering and Logistics.
  • Communicate with Engineering/CAMO for any identified aircraft system or parts that has a high failure rate for OEM improvements.



Customer Interfacing and Reporting

  • Report Aircraft Availability, Aircraft Reliability and PIAC analysis on a quarterly basis.
  • Enter Technical and Service Queries into the CASE Management Database.
  • Prepare material for, attend and where necessary present at meetings with the Customer. Mission System Vendor and End User representatives in relation to the key duties and responsibilities outlined.



Ideal candidate profile:

  • Have an appropriate Aerospace or suitable Engineering degree and/or significant relevant work experience in the design of electrical and electronic equipment to enable integration of systems, wiring and cable harness design and installation of electrical components.
  • Maintenance and Repair Organisation (MRO) and practical experience of electrical/avionic modification programmes will be considered in support of an application to transfer skills into the Engineering department from a production environment.
  • Have extensive knowledge of Electrical Wiring Interconnection Systems (EWIS) and other relative Aerospace Regulations including DEF-STAN-00-970 and EASA CS-25
  • Experience with aerospace wiring design standards
  • Experience with the installation design of electrical components into secondary and tertiary structure
  • Maintaining Configuration Management
  • Familiar with Electrical CAD tools and processes (Mentor Graphics and CATIA V5)
