Seeking a Stores Person on a contract basis for my Newbridge, Edinburgh based manufacturing client.
Role: Stores Person (Contract)
Location: Newbridge, Edinburgh
Shift: Mon-Fri. Early shift. Exact times TBC.
Pay rate: £12.30 - £13.50 per hour PAYE only. Plus holiday pay in addition.
Vetting: Referencing & clear drug screen required.
Applicants must already hold the rights to live & work in the UK
Main Responsibilities:
- Neatly pack, stock, organise and rearrange products in warehouse.
- Monitor and manage inventory control, keeping all records updated.
- Manage and handle shipping, loading and unloading of products.
- Operate forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Handle delicate and sensitive products with utmost care.
- Process received deliveries and distribution to factory efficiently.
- Ensure that quality, quantity, customer satisfaction, and financial commitments are met.
- Communicate with manufacturers, suppliers, and customers.
Ideal candidate profile:
- Previous experience and competency working within a similar stores/logistics environment
- Firm understanding of supply chain, inventory and distribution
- Previous user of forklifts & pallet trucks
- Excellent attention to detail
- A flexible team player with good time keeping
- Shows Initiative
- Always ensures full compliance with health and safety regulations.
- SAP knowledge is an advantage
- Confident IT user and happy to pick up new software as required
