I have a unique opportunity for a Trainee Electroplater to be based near Heathrow Airport, to play a crucial role in the surface treatment and protection of aircraft components & ensure they meet the highest industry standards for safety and durability.
You will gain hands-on experience across all stages of electroplating, working closely with experienced professionals in a highly regulated environment.

Role: Trainee Electroplater
Location: Hayes, West London
Shift: 4 on 4 off shift. 6:30am – 6:30pm
Salary: £29,800 - £32,500 including shift pay
Main responsibilities:
- Assisting with loading and unloading electroplating equipment
- Supporting electroplaters with day-to-day operational tasks
- Cleaning, preparing, masking, and plating components (including cadmium plating)
- Working with rinsing tanks and chemical processes
- Assisting with grit blasting and surface preparation techniques
- Supporting Alocrom and other finishing processes
- Following technical drawings, process specifications, and manuals
- Using material handling equipment including slings and jigs
- Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards
- Completing your training as required
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Previous hands-on experience within an engineering or manufacturing environment is essential
- Strong willingness to learn and develop new skills
- Awareness of PPE and safe working practices
- Experience using overhead cranes or forklifts preferred
- Exposure to the aviation or aerospace sector preferred
- Ability to accurately follow instructions and work to technical standards
- Team player with a proactive attitude & happy to work under pressure
- Good written and spoken English plus strong communication skills
