Mechanical Technician

Mechanical Technician (BBBH15227) Saffron Walden, England

Our client is looking for a Mechanical Technician to join them on a permanent basis. As the Mechanical Technician, you will be disassembling, cleaning and inspecting parts in order to reduce costs and add value to customers.

Role: Mechanical Technician
Location: Wendens Ambo, Essex
Hours: Monday to Friday / 08:00-16:30
Salary: Discussed Upon Application

What you’ll be doing:

  • Inspection and diagnosis of repairs and parts replacement requirements
  • Disassembly and cleaning of sets
  • Repair and parts replacements
  • Reassembly of seat sets to required standards and timeframe
  • Work in accordance with technical publications
  • Correlate all work carried out in accordance with part 145 requirements.
  • Adheres to all Company standard operating procedures
  • Adheres to all health and safety procedures
  • Meets workshop quality and housekeeping standards
  • Ensures all activity and works delivered meets the Company quality standards
  • Ensures all administration and systems inputs meets agreed standards


Requirements:

  • Experience as a Mechanical Technician, ideally with specific experience in trimming and upholstery in aviation or motor manufacturing
  • Understanding of technical publications and knowledge of commercial aerospace working practices
  • Recognised engineering qualification such as BTEC, BNC, ONC or HNC/HND
  • IT literate
  • Team player
  • Eye for detail
  • Right to live and work in the UK without restrictions
