Part 145 Maintenance Manager (BBBH18840) Malta

Our client has an opportunity for a Maintenance Manager to join them on a permanent basis in Malta.

The Maintenance Manager is responsible for ensuring that all maintenance activities performed are completed in accordance with contracted customer requirements, approved maintenance procedures, regulatory requirements, and company standards. The role is accountable for the management of maintenance operations, personnel competence, resource availability, quality standards, safety implementation, and regulatory compliance within the Maintenance Organisation Approval.

Hours: Monday to Friday with the understanding of being on-call out of hours

What you’ll be doing:

Maintenance Operations

  • Ensure the satisfactory completion and certification of all maintenance work required by contracted operators and customers in accordance with approved work specifications, work orders, and MOE procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with organisational procedures and standards when carrying out maintenance activities.
  • Ensure all subcontracted work orders are correctly detailed, and that contractual inspection and quality control requirements are fulfilled.
  • Ensure the availability of facilities appropriate to the planned maintenance activities.
  • Ensure the availability of a suitable working environment for maintenance personnel and maintain overall responsibility for the cleanliness of maintenance facilities and locations.
  • Ensure the availability of tools, equipment, materials, and maintenance data required to perform approved maintenance activities.
  • Ensure sufficient competent personnel are available to plan, perform, supervise, inspect, and certify maintenance work.
  • Organise and manage, in conjunction with operators, the recovery of Aircraft on Ground (AOG) situations at remote locations and line stations.
  • Host and lead Production Meetings.
  • Execute dress rehearsals and perform reconciliations to ensure data quality

Quality and Compliance

  • Ensure the quality of workmanship achieved by personnel under their control.
  • Respond to quality deficiencies identified through independent quality audits



Personnel and Training

  • Ensure the competence of maintenance personnel through initial, continuation, recurrent, and type training programmes using internal and external training sources.
  • Prepare and maintain the departmental Manpower Plan where significant changes in workload occur.
  • Prepare and approve the Maintenance Training Plan.

Documentation and Records

  • Supply necessary technical documentation to customers.
  • Ensure the storage and control of organisational technical records.
  • Approve organisational procedures for the definition, management, and control of equipment and tools.

Resource and Supplier Management

  • Approve the annual stock inventory documentation prepared by Stores.
  • Direct and monitor the selection of suppliers for materials and repair services.


Requirements:

Essential

  • Strong Part-145 Aircraft maintenance experience.
  •  EASA B1 licence holder with experience working on Boeing family
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the confidence to challenge, influence and drive change across the business.
  • Full right to work in Malta
