Stores Assistant

Stores Assistant (BBBH15225) Saffron Walden, England

Our client is looking for a Stores Technician to join them on a permanent basis. As the Stores Technician, you will be reporting to the Stores Team Leader, and will be managing all aspects of the timely and accurate handling of incoming and outgoing parts and components in order to meet customer service levels.

Location: Wendens Ambo, Essex
Hours: Monday to Friday / 08:00-16:30
Salary: Discussed Upon Application

What you’ll be doing:

  • Receive all incoming goods in line with Company standards and operating procedures
  • Visually inspect all incoming goods and materials for physical damage and appropriate documentation
  • Accept components and materials in accordance with internal IT system requirements
  • Log all incoming goods and components on the internal IT systems
  • Ensure rejected goods and parts are quarantined and labelled, and that the Team Leader is informed about the discrepant condition, so corrective action shall be initiated
  • Meet all Customs procedures and processes to comply with UK and Global Legislation
  • Ensure that all material certificates are properly filed and materials are properly stored, and that material is kept linked to the supplier source
  • Issue approved parts, materials, special tooling to the Workshop Technicians
  • Ensure that all outgoing components are packed for distribution in the agreed packing boxes and materials
  • Maintain accurate inventory using computerised systems to include purchased parts, manufactured parts, materials, tools, etc.
  • Ensure that material is removed from store before it's due to expire
  • Adheres to all Company standard operating procedures
  • Adheres to all health and safety procedures
  • Meets Stores quality and housekeeping standards
  • Ensures all activity and works delivered meets the Company quality standards
  • Ensures all administration and systems inputs meets agreed standards


Requirements:

  • Aviation experience – desirable
  • IT literate with the ability to use Word and Excel
  • Willingness to learn industry software
  • Team player
  • Eye for detail
  • Right to live and work in the UK without restrictions
