Design Integrator - Aviation (BBBH18566) Broughton, Wales

Salary: GBP52 - GBP52 per hour


On behalf of our client, we are seeking to Design Integrator on an initial contract until 15th December 2026.

The successful applicant must have a design background, as they will support technical design investigations within the team for improvement projects, and will act as the main interface for the team to the key stakeholders - namely the Operations management teams, and key engineering stakeholders.

The role will provide an excellent opportunity for a committed person to further develop their technical and leadership skills in a positive and supportive team environment. They will also develop relationships with functions such as Manufacturing Engineering, to promote a true co-design ethos.

Role: Design Integrator
Pay: Up to £52 per hour Via Umbrella
Location: Broughton - fully onsite
Contract: Monday- Friday, 35Hours per week
IR35 Status: Inside
Security Clearance: BPSS

Responsibilities

  • Lead improvement projects and activities through the LBIP process, ensuring the technical solutions are right first time
  • Act as the main interface between Engineering and Operations, ensuring co-design solutions which are suitable for the industrial system whilst maintaining an engineering, and most importantly, a customer perspective
  • Provide proactive product improvements that support modifications to reduce Recurring Costs,
  • Non-Recurring Costs, Disruption and Non-Conformances
  • Support and/or lead initiatives to further enhance team efficiency and effectiveness through application of methods, tools, processes and/or other capability improvements


Essential Skills
 

  • Strong Design Engineering experience with project management experience
  • Experience acting as the link between design functions
  • Experience in aviation or manufacturing
  • Communicate across teams both internally and transnationally to influence and drive projects forwards
  • Strong design experience and project management experience 
  • Strong networking skills with the ability to develop their own and the teams networks further
  • A real sense of ownership - owns a problem and finds solutions to give the best possible outcomes
  • Able to find and work with new challenges and find how to bring fresh ideas and concepts to deliver our business needs.
  • Proactively drives towards business delivery on multiple fronts with the operational objectives in mind.
  • Anticipation mindset, able to identify risks/opportunities and manage them appropriately
  • Motivated and self-driven with the ability to work autonomously when required, whilst being a strong team player.
  • Deliver reliably on time, cost and quality whilst embracing change and challenge when appropriate.
  • Engineering Degree or equivalent
