Aviation Safety Equipment Maintenance Technician

Aviation Safety Equipment Maintenance Technician (BBBH17358) Goussainville, France

Our client has an opportunity for a Maintenance Technician to join them on a permanent basis. The technician will be responsible for the inspection, servicing, testing, and repair of oxygen masks, oxygen cylinders, and related life support systems in accordance with aviation regulations and manufacturer specifications.

Role: Maintenance Technician – Aviation Safety Equipment – Oxygen
Location: Goussainville, France (near Roissy Charles de Gaulle Airport)
Hours: 35 per week
Salary: Discussed on application
Schedule:

  • Monday to Thursday: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM / 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM
  • Friday: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM / 1:00 PM – 3:30 PM
  • Every other Friday afternoon off


Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine and non-routine maintenance, inspection, and overhaul of oxygen masks (crew and passenger) and oxygen cylinders (portable and fixed).
  • Ensure all oxygen equipment complies with PART-145, OEM manuals, and applicable airworthiness standards.
  • Conduct leak checks, pressure testing, hydrostatic testing, and oxygen recharging as per safety procedures.
  • Maintain detailed records and documentation of all maintenance activities using approved formats and systems.
  • Tag, quarantine, or report unserviceable or expired safety equipment in accordance with company policy.
  • Handle and store oxygen equipment and gases with strict adherence to hazardous material handling protocols.
  • Support audits, inspections, and safety checks conducted by Quality Assurance and regulatory authorities.
  • Collaborate with engineers and quality inspectors to resolve any technical discrepancies.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Diploma or Technical Certificate in Aeronautical Engineering, Mechanical Maintenance, or equivalent desirable but not essential.
  • 1–3 years of relevant experience in aviation safety equipment maintenance.
  • Training or certification in oxygen systems, hazmat handling, or aviation safety equipment is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with AMM, CMM, IPC, and technical documentation.
  • Knowledge of PART-145 and aviation maintenance standards.
  • Strong attention to detail and safety compliance.
  • Ability to work in a team and independently with minimal supervision.
