NTT DATA is looking for an experienced and motivated Quality Assurance Engineer for the United Nations Agency.
Responsibilities:
• Acts as a QA focal point to development teams when communicating with Quality Assurance Team members.
• Provides support for QA and related services and help to expand and improve the effectiveness of these services.
• Creates, executes, automates, and manages test cases and test plans for existing and developed systems.
• Supports software development process and implementation of new software releases by testing computer application systems and programs, using team established standards for IT technologies and tools.
• Participates in the specification, design, automation and support of computer application systems from a quality assurance perspective.
• Drafts technical documentation for deployed computer application systems in the form of test cases and user stories.
• Maintains test and functional specifications for computer application systems, programs and procedures developed and/or modified.
• Drafts correspondence, communications and prepares team contributions for a variety of periodic reports.
• Keeps abreast of developments in the field of quality assurance and proposes new acquisitions as appropriate.
• Performs other work-related duties as assigned.
• Provides effective computer application systems quality assurance and contributes to the specification, testing, automation, coordination, and release of computer application systems.
• Processes work and initiates appropriate follow-up actions under minimal supervision.
• Demonstrate initiative in the identification and resolution of issues/problems.
• Consistently applies appropriate policies, guidelines and procedures.
Work experience:
• A minimum of 3 years of daily, hands-on practical experience in providing software quality assurance for medium-large sized development teams is required.
• A minimum of 3 years of daily, hands-on practical experience in developing Test Automation Frameworks or designing automated testing suites is required.
• A minimum of 3 years of daily, hands-on practical experience with regular release testing and clearance using Agile development approaches such as SCRUM is required.
• A minimum of 3 years of daily, hands-on practical experience with managing test code and definitions using Software Configuration Management and integrating
testing and clearance processes with build tools such as Azure DevOps Services is required.
• A minimum of 1 year of daily hands-on practical experience with Git source control including branching and processing of pull requests is required.
• A minimum of 3 years of daily, hands-on practical experience with developing UI test automation with Selenium using C#/.NET is required.
• A minimum of 3 years daily, hands-on experience in servicing geo/time zone distributed dev teams, QA team members, and clients is required.
• Daily, hands-on practical experience with writing test cases using Gherkin syntax is desirable.
• Daily, hands-on practical experience with testing software for Prince2 based projects is desirable.
• Experience in testing applications hosted in Microsoft Azure Cloud Services is desirable.
• International Software Testing Qualifications Board (ISTQB) Foundation certification or similar certification is required. Any relevant additional QA certifications are desirable.
