Requirements Analyst (2187) Fairfax, Virginia
The Requirements Analyst analyzes business processes, functions, and procedures to determine the most effective business systems software to meet the needs of the organization. Establishes systems specifications and objectives, based on business requirements and cost effectiveness, and provides recommendations to program leadership. A Requirements Analyst collaborates with other project team members in systems development and design. A Requirements Analyst creates scenarios or use cases to represent user functionality and creates test conditions and test cases to validate delivered functionality. This level requires considerable knowledge of the subject matter and concepts of the position.
A Requirements Analyst is qualified to perform tasks such as:
- Analyze program functions, processes, and activities to improve computer and process driven credentialing and privileging applications for the most effective use of money, materials, equipment, and people
- Creates Requirements Traceability to business functions requested
- Utilizes available computer systems resources and personnel to carry out analysis to support management's quest for performance improvement
- Reviews and analyzes information, forecasts, methods, schedules, systems, processes, and procedures in creating scenarios, use cases and validation methods
- Develop test plans and coordinates and performs software testing
- Determine most useful business solutions for the company
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Business
- Three plus (3+) years of related experience
- Exceptional analytical skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Customer interaction experience
PREFERRED SKILLS
Agile software development experience
Use Case or Scenario based software development experience
Team Foundation Server or similar Agile toolset
